George “Bob” Robert Hyde March 7, 1925 ~ January 16, 2017
George “Bob” Robert Hyde passed away on January 16, 2017 in Longview, Washington.
Bob was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on March 7, 1925 to Alvan Hyde and Elsie (Obele).
He joined the Army during World War II, he served as a private. Bob married Julia Fern Green in Vancouver, Washington on July 13, 1946. They were together until her passing in 2005. Bob worked at the mill in Rainier for 32 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Julia and his son Jerry.
Bob is survived by his children, Vickey, Sharon, Robert “Bob”, and Mary. His grandchildren David, Tina, April, Teri, Mary Lynn, Judi, Christina, Krista, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on January 27, 2017 at 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service with military honors at 12:00 pm at Shiloh Basin Church 30000 Tide Creek Road, Rainier, Oregon 97048.
