George "Bud" W. Clark's Obituary
George was born in Houlton, Oregon to Mable Fritz and Wilbur Clark. He went to school at McBride and graduated from St. Helens High School. After graduation he joined the US Coast Guard in 1941 where he became a Helmsman aboard the USS Hunter Liggett in the Pacific. While in the service he met Agnes Moore, the love of his life. They married in 1943 and remained together till the time of his death.
After WWII George worked for Columbia County Road Department. Then in 1954 he went to work for Watters Concrete until he retired in 1988, and for that time he was a member in good standing in Local 701 Operating Engineers.
After retirement he enjoyed fishing at Prescott Beach, and being the patriarch of his family. He is survived by his three children James, Annette and Douglas, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
George’s family are what he considered his wealth, his pride, and his legacy.
