George LeRoy Gould's Obituary
George graduated in 1949 from Knappa High School, spending his school years in Knappa andAstoria. He was born in Astoria, Oregon on August 6, 1930 to Raymond and Florence Gould.He was married to Geraldine Sorkki on February 28, 1950. He served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1953. His career was a police officer in Astoria, State of Oregon Police, and Portland. In the 70's he worked as a security on Alaska pipeline. He retired as security from PGE security department in 1995. He never really retired as he worked part time until 2006. He was a member of Elks Lodge, VFW, American Legion and Elks RV Club.
George's pleasures were traveling in the RV and being a snowbird. He enjoyed lending a helping hand for those in need. He loved being a grandfather and great grandfather.

Steve Gould of Hillsboro
Sister, Dolores Haines of Port Angeles, WA
Brother, Gerald Gould of Portland
3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra in 1989.
He died July 21, 2008 in Scappoose. Private family services with memorials to the Elks Meadowood Camp.
