Gerald Laverne Kramberg's Obituary
Gerald Kramberg, beloved Husband and father went home to the Lord on July 26th, 2024 at the age of 86.
Gerald was born in Seneca, Montana on July 4th, 1937. His early life mirrored a firecracker with all the rambunctiousness and energy of youth on his family’s farm. Gerald was often mischievous and accused by his siblings of causing trouble. As a young man, Gerald left home to work on the rail roads before joining the military. Though he served his country and life took him on many adventures, Gerald soon found himself returning home to the place he loved. One adventure, however, was lacking until the day he met the love of his life, Genevieve. It seemed from childhood to adulthood Gerald aways found himself around the lively and precocious woman. In her eyes, he saw love, his future, and the continued adventure of a lifetime. Together they raised a family of nine beloved, rambunctious children as adventurous and bold as their parents. As the family grew, the adventure led out west and they moved to Oregon. Gerald and Genevieve’s life together still gave plenty of excitement and adventure as their family grew up and grandchildren arrived. Gerald continued some of his own adventure, exploring more interests before settling on a career in fence building where he owned and operated his own business. As time passed, Gerald continued to care for his family, helping to keep little adventures of the small ones in check. Gerald’s life was filled with such fun, love and wonder. Those around him found his heart to be extremely caring or extremely onery within the many faucets of his life’s adventures. As his children, our hearts are touched forever by his love, care, protection, and loyalty. We will forever have a great respect and love for the man who taught us how to be rowdy as children, responsible as adults, and yet to live with our whole heart and in the moment of every life’s adventure.
Gerald is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister.
A memorial service will be held September 28th at 2:00 pm at the Yankton Community Fellowship in St Helens OR.
