Germaine "Gerry" L. Mix's Obituary
Germaine “Gerry” L. Mix passed away peacefully on June 14, 2014 in St. Helens at the age of 86.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1928 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Frank and Dorothy Sasina. She was raised in Rice Lake and graduated from Aurora High School in 1946. Gerry later met and married the love of her life, Emil Mix. In 1958 they moved from Rice Lake to St. Helens and had 35 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 490. She enjoyed gardening, loved to read and was a loyal Trailblazer fan. She bowled for many years in numerous leagues and made many long time friends. These friends continued to meet in later years every month for lunch. She cherished these lunches very much and enjoyed the laughter and time spent together. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Tami Jo Mix of St. Helens and a brother Roger (Emily) Sasina of Wautoma, Wisconsin. She is also survived by a daughter from a previous marriage, Colleen (Robert) Pierce of Elk Mound, Wisconsin and by two grandchildren. Arrangements in care of Columbia Funeral Home, St. Helens.
