Glenn Leroy Mueller, 91 years old, of Scappoose, OR ; passed away on June 16, 2024 in Beaverton, Or.
Funeral service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on June 28, 2024 at 10:30am.
Glenn was born in Valentine Nebraska to William and Veda Pearl Mueller on March 23, 1932. He graduated high school in Glenns Ferry Idaho. He drove truck for Garrett Freightlines for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Mueller, his parents William and Veda Pearl Mueller; his sister Shirley Merrill and his brother Robert Mueller. He is survived by his son Frank Mueller, Yankton, OR, daughter Glenna Semling, Scappoose, OR and son Kevin Mueller, Washington; 5 grandchildren; James, Jenny, Jessie, Ricky and Briggs; 5 great grandchildren; Jordan, Carter, Jaylynne, Caidence and Rylan.
Enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and was discharged in 1954. He married Bertha Sanford January 5, 1954 in Roswell New Mexico. Moved from Idaho to Oregon in 1963.
He owned his own fishing charter boat called the “Ichiban” and received his Captains license from Clatsop County Comm. College; Astoria, Or., in 1983. Fishing was his passion. He was hired by the owner of the Oregon Electric Group to captain the 86-foot catamaran “The Alison” in Ketchikan to take guests out, his wife went as the cook.
After he retired he had a home built in Yuma, AZ where he and his wife resided during the winter for 3-4 months.
He resided in Chapman, OR; just out of Scappoose for about 20 years before he moved to Vancouver, WA to be with his wife. When Bertha passed in 2017 he moved back to Scappoose.
