Gloria Ann Chinell's Obituary
Gloria Ann Chinell of Columbia City, Oregon passed away at home on July 30, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born November 30, 1929 to Martin and Evelyn (Ream) McCoy in Minden, Nebraska. Gloria attended her senior year of high school in Roseville, California and graduated with the class of 1948. On May 27, 1950 she married Arthur Chinell in St. Helens, Oregon they were married for 49 years before Arthur’s death in 1999.
During her youth Gloria worked at a grocery store near 4 corners. She later got a job as a high-tech assembly worker at Techtronics in Beaverton. She enjoyed knitting and she loved playing games especially pinochle and the board game aggravation. Gloria was a member of the Community Club of Columbia City and the Christian Church of St. Helens. She was always there to help her friends.
Gloria is survived by two sons Brian and Jeff Chinell, three grandchildren; Inga, Brandon and Natasha and her greatgrandchildren; Jayden, Mila, Breanna and Reverand. Her two sisters Clara and Marla. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur.
A funeral service will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11am at Columbia Funeral Home.
