Gordon was a good friend. When we painted their house I found that he knew my dad, they shared the profession of "Ships cook". We had many visits where he would talk of his career and how he and my dad got aquanted and how their careers overlapped (not knowing each other at the time). We always seemed to run into each other at Red Apple while he was shopping for his jail job. While my wife Carolyn and I were visting, Gordon brought out a box of foreign coins (Japan, China, europe etc.). Knowing Carolyn and I were career Navy he gave us some of the coins. When Gordon moved out of his house we lost touch. The last call I received from him he said he was in Avamere but because of Covid we couldn't visit. I know that Gordon was a Christian and devoted to his church (St. Fredricks). God Bless his soul, it is a good one. See you later Gordon.
