Gordon E. Elstoen's Obituary
Gordon E. Elstoen was born on January 12, 1927 in Berthold, N. Dakota to Anton & Gina Flager Elstoen.
He died at a hospice care center in Beaverton after a short illness on May 10, 2009 at the age of 82.
Gordon was a resident of St. Helens arriving with his parents in 1943 from Berthold, N. Dakota. He was employed at Firtex in St. Helens from 1954-1973.
He was married to Bernetha Morris, she preceded him in death in 1994. He led dance bands in the Northwest over the last 60 years.
Survivors include: Son: Tom Elstoen of St. Helens; Daughters: Susan Elstoen of St. Helens; Vicki Riker of Hermiston, OR.; Thea Kirtland of Scappoose and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: Friday, May 15, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the St. Helens Moose Lodge.
