Grant A. Dirks was born on November 2, 1941 in Portland, OR. to Edward & Clara Frichtel Dirks.
He died on January 16, 2005 at a Portland hospital at the age of 63.
He attended Holy Redeimer Grade School & Jefferson Hi School.
He worked in contruction and a painter for NW Pipe Company for 6 years until he became disabled.
He lived most of his life in the St. Helens/Scappoose area, the last 12 in St. Helens.
He married Marilyn in Scappoose in '75, they divorced and remarried in '77.
He was a christian who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and a Dale Earnhart racing fan.
Memorial service: Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Grace & Peace Fellowship Church-Scappoose, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
