Grant Kenneth Long
A funeral will be held at 11:00pm Wednesday, January 18, 2006, in Red Sea Community Church in Portland for Grant Kenneth Long, who died January 7, 2006 at the age of 81.
Mr. Long was born December 11, 1924 in Big Beaver, Saskatchewan, and was raised in Plentywood, Montana. During WWII he served in the Army in the Pacific. After the war, he moved to Portland, where he was a barber and a farm hand. He moved to Scappoose in 1995. In 1958, he married Dolly B. Hamblin; they divorced.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol B. Moss; son, Gary G.; stepdaughters, Diana M. Rips and Christina M. Hamblin; sister, Bessie Christensen; 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
