Gus - Stauss' Obituary
Gus Stauss was born on November 10, 1927 in Knox, N. Dakota to Marcus & Eva Sattler Stauss.
He died at his home in St. Helens on May 21, 2008 at the age of 80.
He was in the Army during WWII & Korea. He moved to Portland in 1945 and on August 12, 1950 he married Laura Ticknor. They moved to the area in 1957 until present.
He was a four high operator for Oregon Steel Mills for 37 years, retiring in 1987.
His interests were driving, fishing, hunting and gambling.
Survivors include: Wife: Laura Stauss of St. Helens; Son: Ken Stauss Vangi of Kelso, WA.; Luan Stauss Emily of Oakland, CA.; Karla Reinholdt Derek of St. Helens; Gail Urie Jay of St. Helens; Siblings: Martin Stauss of Milwaukie, OR.; Betty Senger of Devils Lake, N. Dakota; Irene Weller; Tony Stauss both of Mesa, Arizona; 5 grandchildren.
