Hans "Gust" Gosta Anderson
Born in Sweden in 1904, Hans Gosta Anderson peacefully passed away at his home in St. Helens, Oregon on February 13, 2009, having just reached the age of 105.
He immigrated to the United States in the 1920's and worked his way through the University of Chicago and Northwestern University becoming a dentist. He settled in Rhode Island, married and raised a family. Upon retiring he moved his family to Florida and became an orange grove farmer.
Dr. Anderson moved with his daughter to Oregon in 2006. His wife, Ruth Malmborg, died in 2007.
He is survived by four children; Stephen in Maine, Kurt in Tennessee, Carla in Virginia, and Rachel in St. Helens, Oregon. Three grandchildren also survive him; Dr. Erik Bernstein in Georgia, Nathan Anderson in Colorado, and Chantrea Anderson in Virginia.
There will be several memorial services elsewhere.
