Harold Wayne Moorhead's Obituary
Harold Moorhead, 67, of St. Helens, was born July 12, 1939 in St. Helens, the son of Abraham and Madeline Ramen Moorhead. Harold went to Bachelor Flat School and graduated from St. Helens High School in 1957.
Harold joined the Coast Guard, and was married in Astoria in 1963 to Frances Reiter.
Harold retired from service in October of 1979 being the last commanding officer of the Columbia River Lightship. He worked at Trojan as a security guard until his heart transplant in December of 1990.
Survivors include, his wife, Frances; sons, Kenneth of Beaverton, Oregon, Steve of St. Helens, daughter, Diana Fitzgerald of St. Helens. 6 grandchildren and one great grandson. Brother, Benjamin Lee of St. Helens and sister Barbara Owens of Munic, Indiana.
Celebration of Life:Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the St. Helens Moose Lodge. Contributions may be given to the Heart Association.
