Harriet Helen Lunan's Obituary
Harriet Helen Lunan, 89, a resident of Scappoose, died April 12, 2006 at her Scappoose home. Harriet was born July 7, 1916 in Ada, Ohio the daughter of David and Eliza Sousley. She was married to Lt. James S. Lunan in November of 1942. She moved to Oregon in the Spring o f1954 from Long Beach, CA. She was a resident of Gresham for 50 years. She was a 50-year member of the Rockwood United Methodist Church. She volunteered at school, the Rockwood PTA, serving as President, and the Mt. Hood CC Jazz Festival. She was a supporter of Guide Dogs For the Blind. She enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, and her grand and great grandchildren. She was a clerk for JC Penney. She moved to Rose Valley Assisted Living, Scappoose, Oregon in July of 2004.
The family is planning a memorial in July.
Contributions may be given to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Survivors include, her daughters, Jan Hildreth of Scappoose and Nancy Turner of Indio, CA; her son and daughter in law, Rich and Carol Lunan of O'Fallon, Illinois; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
