Helen E. Orr's Obituary
Helen E. Orr was born on July 30, 1917 in Blue Rapids, Kansas to John & Mary Ella Chapman Moore.
She died at her home in Scappoose, OR. on December 10, 2004 at the age of 87.
She married Freeman in Kansas in 1936, he preceded her in death.
They lived in San Gabriel, CA from 56-84 then moved to Scappoose until present.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Scappoose and also attended Creekside Baptist Church. Member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, officer in the Scappoose Senior Center, Scappoose Garden Club, Home extension, Elks travel club and in California the White Shrine.
Her hobbies included: Travel, crafts, collections-pictures, china, glasses. She loved people.
Survived by: Sons: Richard Orr of Arcadia, CA.; Kenneth Orr of Scappoose, OR.; Brother: Keith Moore of Lincoln, NE.; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister.
Memorial service: Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 3:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
Private interment: Rose Hills Cemetery-Whittier, CA.
