Helen Gene Sell's Obituary
A graveside service will be held for Helen Gene Sell, 1:00 PM, Friday, January 14th at Eureka Cemetery, Newport, Oregon. Visitation will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home. Helen passed away at her home in Deer Island, Oregon January 7, 2011. She was 89 years old.
Born in Marshfield, Oregon, now Coos Bay, she was the younger of two daughters. Helen graduated from Waldport High School in 1938. She married her husband Donald Edward Sell in Vancouver, Washington January 8, 1942. Don was a construction Lineman and because of this position the family travel quite a bit, living in many areas of Oregon. They finally found their peace of Heaven on the Alsea River where they lived for 25 years until their health required them to relocate near one of their daughters, settling in Deer Island, Oregon in 1998. Her beloved preceded her in death in 2002.
Helen is survived by her two daughters; Paula Lindner of Deer Island and Donna Seburn of Bellingham, Washington, 6 grandchildren; Steve, Mary and Dan Seburn, John, Charles and James Lindner and 8 great grandchildren.
