Helen J. Silk's Obituary
Helen J. Silk was born on November 30, 1937 in Ogama, Minnesota to Christopher & Elizabeth Tibadeau Humbert.
She died in Seneca, OR. on November 19, 2010 at the age of 72.
Helen was the 4th of 6 children. She was raised and schooled in Minnesota and moved to Oregon with her husband of 37 years, Marvin Silk who preceded her in death in 1997.
Together they proudly raised 3 daughters: Debbie L. Gensman of Scappoose; ALice J. Corliss of Mather, CA.; Sue A. Mason of Portland; 6 grandchildren: Danny Burum of Portland, Robbie Burum of Scappoose; Donny Corliss of Corvallis, Christy Corliss of Mather, CA., Andrew Mason of Portland, Jeff Mason of St. Helens; 7 great grandchildren; Chloe Corliss 6, Jordan Burum 17, Jack Burum 10, Jill Burum 10, Brianna Burum 2, Hailey Mason 16 months with two more on the way.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Gary Fritz of St. Helens, her companion of the last 6 years whom she enjoyed traveling with and just enjoying life as it came. A lifelong member of St. Frederic's Catholic Church in St. Helens she will be missed by many.
