Helen - Ledford's Obituary
Helen Ledford was born on February 18, 1918 in Winfield, Texas to Edgar R. & Hyacinth Potts Rains.
She died in a Gresham nursing home on December 1, 2007 at the age of 89.
She was educated in Hot Springs, New Mexico, she married Ervin Ledford in 1938 in Albuquerque, N. Mexico. They moved to Rainier in 1950 and later lived in St. Helens and Columbia City. She has lived in the Portland area since 1995 when her husband preceded her in death.
She was baptized in the Baptist Church and she was a homemaker and proud of her family.
Survivors include: Daughters: June Plank of Portland; Joyce Cox of Sandy, OR.; Sue Abbott of Rainier; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Thursday at Columbia Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Yankton Community Fellowship Church.
Committal service & vault interment: Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery.
