Helen Louise Womastek's Obituary
Helen L. Womastek was born on August 8, 1915 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Frank & Lena (Burnhart) Tomanka.
She went to sleep in Jesus about 3:00 AM on January 24, 2013 at her residence at the Golden Age Living in Milwaukie, OR. where she had been a patient suffering from alzheimers for the past 8 years.
Her childhood years were spent in Prague, Oklahoma. It was there that she met & married Henry Womastek. They moved to Boulder, Colorado. He joined the Army & they spent several years traveling the US & Europe. While in Japan the adopted the precious Rena Louise. They moved to St. Helens to raise Rena and after a long illness she passed away of cancer in 1956. Helen returned to school for 2 years of college. She went on to spend many years working and managing the office of Dr. Loosli.
She involved her life with the 7th Day Adventist Church and helped many students there. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include: Cousins: Beverly & Harvey Johnson, Ernie & Dolores Tomanka, John & Pat Berhardt, Sharon Miller, Sam & Darlene Eckert, Rick & Deeann Millet, Jay Simpson.
Graveside service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens-Scappoose on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM
