Heloise L. Akeson's Obituary
Heloise L. Akeson was born on March 15, 1921 in LaCenter, WA. to Clarence & Elma Spencer Mitchell.
She died at a Portland hospital on May 12, 2010 at the age of 89.
Heloise was educated in Columbia County schools, she married Jack Akeson on July 16, 1944 in Warren, OR.; he preceded her in death on May 19, 2004.
She lived most of adult life in Scappoose, worked as a housekeeper for 3 years at Meadow Park Nursing Home retiring in 2004.
Heloise was a member of the Columbia Christian Center in St. Helens and she enjoyed sewing, baking, canning and her family.
Survivors include: Daughter: Pauline Paddock of Rainier; 2 sons: Douglas Akeson Jane of Eugene; Lawrence Akeson Maria of Scappoose; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Viewing 9-11:00 at Columbia Funeral Home, Graveside service & vault interment: 11:30 at Bethnay Memorial Cemetery-Warren; Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM at Columbia Christian Center on 15th St. in St. Helens all on Monday, May 24, 2010.
