Irene G. Heibel's Obituary
Irene G. Heibel was born on July 9, 1912 in Leola, S. Dakota to William & Lena BaerstchBishop.
She died at her home in St. Helens on July 22, 2004 at the age of 92.
She was educated in Aberdeen, S. Dakota at the Normal School. She married Lester on 10/4/32 in Watertown, S. Dakota. He preceded her in death in 1999.
They moved to St. Helens in May of 1937, living here until present. She worked as a Librarian Aide at McBride school for 13 years, retiring in '73.
She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church since 1937. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed Salmon fishing in a boat or at Prescott Beach. She was in the newspaper for catching a 42 pounder. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, bowling, gardening/roses, traveling and camping.
Survived by: Daughter: Darlene Printz of Vancouver, WA.; Harvey Heibel of St. Helens; Sister: Lucille Boyd of Brookings, S. Dakota; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, a brother: Vincil and a grandson: Ken.
Viewing & Visitation: 6-8 Friday at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens, OR.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 2:00 PM at 1st United Methodist Church-St. Helens
Private family committal & vault interment: Bethnay Memorial Cemetery-Warren, OR.
