Jack Harold Davis' Obituary
JACK HAROLD DAVIS born January 25, 1939 passed away July 30, 2010 at his home in Scappoose.
Memorial service will be Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 2:00 at Grace Lutheran Church in Scappoose, Oregon.
Jack was born and raised in Scappoose, Oregon. He was the second son of Jay and Bertha Davis. He attended Scappoose Schools and graduated in 1957 from Scappoose High School. He attended Oregon State University graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Mechanical Engineering.
From 1963 to 1976 he worked for I.T.T. Continental Baking Co. as office manager, controller and regional manager of accounting. From 1976 -1980 he was the controller for Franz Bakery in Portland. From 1982-1986 he was leader of support services for RCA Service Company—Job Corps—in Springdale, Oregon. He was a tax preparer for H & R Block, had his realtor's license and did interim accounting for several companies from 1987-1992. He retired from LFC Power Systems in Lake Oswego in 1995 as senior general accountant.
Jack married Theresa Roper in Anchorage Alaska in 1968. She passed away in 1984. In 1986 he married Ann Connors in Maui, Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; stepson, William Connors, Jr., wife, Gigi and sons Nathan and Austin; stepdaughter, Elisabeth Shelbe, husband Jerry and son Connor; brother Robert Davis and wife, Nope; sister Carole Covlin and husband Bill; sister Karen Wilson and husband Mike; sister Gail Walker and husband, Bill; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; Uncle Marty Randen and Aunt Nellie; Aunties Marie Jorgensen and Myrtle Dangerud. Jack's keen wit, sense of humor, sweet smile and loving attitude will be missed!
