James E. Salvey's Obituary
James E. Salvey was born on October 9, 1934 in Minot, North Dakota to John & Agnes Wilkenson Salvey. Jim was one of six children.
He died at Meadow Park Nursing Home in St. Helens on May 1, 2011 at the age of 76.
James moved to Portland from a North Dakota farm and attended Benson High School. He later served in the Merchant Marines.
On September 7, 1968 he married June Beisch in Reno, NV.
His enjoyments included working his own farm and being on the tractor. He retired from Harris Overhead Door Company in 1996 as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Survivors include: Wife: June Salvey; Children: Jody Brooks, Larry, Don and Jimmy Salvey, Penny Fisher and Mike Arnall; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
