James Edward Bennett's Obituary
James Edward Bennett was born on November 8, 1929 in St. Helens, Oregon to Jim & Roberta Snider Bennett.
He died at a care facility in Portland, Oregon on July 22, 2011 at the age of 81.
James attended Yankton Grade School and St. Helens High School. He married Dorothy Brown in 1954 in Hopewell, Oregon. They have lived in Warren for 55 years.
He worked as an electrical service inspector for PGE for 37 years, retiring on January 3, 1992.
James was a member of Warren Baptist Church, baptized on April 23, 2006. He was a member of the Employees Beneficial Association of PGE, OSU extension leader for 5 years and his special interests included, fishing, horses, golfing, bowling, work, and outdoor activities with the kids and grandkids.
Survivors include: Wife: Dorothy; Children and Spouses: Dan Bennett; Bob Bennett Michelle; Jayme Frazier Eric; Troy Bennett Flavia; Stacey Lake Shane; Maria Broderick Rodger; several foster children. Dan Baumgardner preceded him in death; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
