James Albert Fazio's Obituary
James Albert “Jim” Fazio died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the age of 56.
Jim was born in Portland, Oregon on September 30, 1957, to Albert Peter and Lenora E. (Felker) Fazio
.
He was raised in a bustling household with his surviving sisters Karen Brasky, Donna Fazio, Angela Young, and Lisa Fazio near the family farm.
Jim attended St. Charles Catholic School in northeast Portland and later graduated from Central Catholic High School.
In 1980 Jim married his childhood sweetheart, Debra Jo (Laverdure) and they celebrated 33 years together. Jim and Debra Jo moved to St. Helens in1994 to raise their two children, James Fazio (33) and Allison Taylor (31).
They are blessed with six grandchildren: Maya (8), Elias (14), Anessa (11), Tayleea (4), Taysha (3), and Dayeesha (1); two step grandchildren; Dominque (13) and Teona (11), that have been the great joy of Poppy Jim.
Over his life, Jim has worked with the Boilermakers Union in the Portland/Vancouver Metro Area and most recently as a crane operator with JT Marine Services of Vancouver. He has been a hard working and accomplished man of many trades, highly respected, trusted, and loved by his fellow workers.
Recitation of Rosary will be held at Columbia Funeral Home, 681 Columbia Blvd., in St. Helens from 4-4:30 pm. Friends and family of all faiths are welcome.
Immediately following, guests are invited to join the family at 4:45 pm at the Old School, 251 St. Helens St., in St. Helens, for the eulogy and refreshments. An opportunity will be presented for friends and family to offer remembrances.
