James R Remsen's Obituary
James R. Remsen was born November 5, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Chester and Evelyn Neubauer Remsen. He died on April 30, 2011 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 65 of lung cancer.
James grew up in Lake Oswego; graduating from the Lake Oswego High School in 1963. After High School he joined the Army National Guard and was a member until 1969.
Jim was a carpet installer for 25 years; and he owned the RK Commercial Floorcovering, Inc for the past 10 years. In 1990 Jim moved to Vernonia.
Jimmy had a passion for cooking. His heart was in the kitchen. If you were ever on the receiving end of his cooking; you knew this was his way of expressing his love.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan Floeter, brother, Bill Carol Remsen; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his only child, Lisa, in 1985.
At his request; there will be no services.
