James S. Bledsoe's Obituary
James S. Bledsoe was born on December 25, 1932 in St. Helens, OR. to Samuel & Minnie Olive Luttrell Bledsoe.
He died at a Longview hospital on September 9, 2006 at the age of 73.
He was educated at McNulty Grade school and McBride elementary and graduated from Scappoose Hi in 1950.
He married Janice Noble in St. Helens on February 23, 1951.
He was the Executive secretary of the Western Council and treasurer for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, retiring after 49 years.
They lived in the Warren and Deer Island areas for 40+ years, moving to Kelso, WA. 4 years ago.
He was a member of the Catholic denomination, he enjoyed golfing and fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include: Wife: Janice Bledsoe of Kelso, WA.; Children: Mike & Kelly Bledsoe both of Rainier, OR.; Jamie Hoesly of Bend, OR.; Kurt & Lisa Bledsoe; both of Portland; Axel of St. Helens; Siblings: Gene & Bruce Klein both of Portland; Michael Klein of Gold Beach, OR.; Patrick Klein of St. Helens; Kathy Klein of Tacoma, WA.; 16 grandchildren: 8 great grandchildren.
Reception Gathering: Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Holiday Inn at the Portland Airport.
