Jamie Vincent Heitz's Obituary
Jamie Vincent Heitz was born in Eugene, Oregon, on September 25, 1974, and left this earth to join his Heavenly Father on August 20, 2014. He attended local schools and graduated from North Eugene High School in June, 1992. He joined the Les Schwab “family” and worked his way up to Assistant Manager in St. Helens, Oregon. Soon after going to work at Les Schwab in Junction City, he met the love of his life, Jodi Truitt, and they were married and sealed in the Portland Temple on August 6, 1999.
He left behind his beloved wife of 15 years and three beautiful children, Ben 11, Megan 7, and Ellie 5. Jamie is survived by his parents, Ron (his father) and Nancy Heitz of Tigard, Lynne Heitz (his mother) of Eugene, his sister, Denise, his grandfather, Burton Heitz, both of Eugene, and Cory, a step-brother, of Vancouver. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
Jamie was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. His greatest passion was his family, whom he loved dearly, and he treasured the camping trips, hunting trips, and golfing dates, and just in general, time spent with his family.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended second ward in St. Helens.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Columbia Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2755 Sykes Rd, St. Helens, OR. 97051 at 1:00 PM.
Jamie Heitz, beloved husband, father, friend, you will be sorely missed.
