Jared Andrew Erickson's Obituary
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 17th at 10am, at Columbia Funeral Home for Jared who passed away at his home from complications of epilepsy, he was 23 years young.
Jared was born in Joplin, Missouri to Daniel Paul and LaDora Lou Wilkins Erickson, the eldest of three children. The family lived in Kentucky, Iowa, and then moved to Idaho for five years. In 1999 the family moved to Columbia City where Jared attended and graduated from St. Helens High School, the class of 2007.
Jared lived with seizures since the age of 7, but that didn't detour him from participating in life. He was a Cub Scout, loved reading, target shooting, enjoyed the outdoors, and playing video games. The family traveled to many places and you could always count on Jared's smile to be in many of the pictures. He loved going to concerts and to county and state fairs. The last few years Jared worked hard to receive his degree from ITT in Software Engineering. He was just a few credits short from receiving his Associates' Degree.
Jared is survived by his parents; Daniel Erickson of Columbia City, LaDora Erickson of Seneca, MO, Step-mother Cheryl Meisinger, siblings; Daphne of Columbia City, Joshua of Ft. Bragg, NC, grandparents; Fred & Loretta Wilkins of Welch, OK, John E. Erickson, Sr. of Ft. Dodge, IA, Darlene Campbell of South Sioux City, NE.
