Jason Michael South, age 45, of Scappoose, Oregon, passed away on February 6, 2023, in Portland, Oregon. He was born on October 13, 1977, in San Bernardino, California.
Jason moved to Scappoose, Oregon in 1995. He attended Scappoose High School and graduated in 1996. He worked as an equipment operator for Berry Global.
In his free time, Jason loved spending time with his son, Gabe, fishing, shooting, riding his motorcycle, everything music, racing, flying drones, and electronics.
Jason is survived by his son, Gabriel South; his dad and mom, Brian and Julie South; sisters Jessica (Gary) Zweigart and Beth South; brother Jeromy (Stephanie) South; cousin Billy Lally; nephews Kayleb (Hailey) Zweigart, Dylan Zweigart, Dominic Zweigart, Braydon South, Logan Johnston, and Julian Johnston; grandpa Donald Lally of Florence, OR; and his grandma, Jean Speth of Logan, UT.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Oregon. The service will be led by Pastor Darren Billings of Oasis Ministries.
