Jay Howard Thornberry's Obituary
Jay passed away peacefully on Saturday July 10, 2021, surrounded by family. Jay is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sherry; his daughter, Stacy Salladay; son-in-law Aaron Salladay; grandchildren Jared Thornberry and Jaxon Salladay; sisters Jane Mills (Dick), Marsha Grider (Bob); and brothers Robert Sandmeyer (Patricia), Dennis Thornberry, and Dale Thornberry (Beth).
Jay was an avid Barbershop Harmony singer for 54 years, and sang Bass in The Aliens quartet, traveling extensively for 35 years performing and entertaining in the barbershop style.
There will be a burial at Willamette National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
