Obituary of Jean Marie Hodge
Jean was born September 1, 1925 in Forest grove, Oregon to Victor and Mildred Fleck Spaulding.
She died on February 12, 2012 in St. Helens at the age of 86.
She grew up there She graduated high school the class of 1943. Jean married William Abram Hudson in November of 1942, they had four children. He preceded her in death in 1962. She married James E. Hamman in 1964 and she shared his business "Hamman Garbage Service" He had two sons. Jim preceded her in death in 2002. In 2005 she married again to Allan "Bud" Hodge. She preceded him in death in October of 2011.
Jean was active in the church her whole life and was a member of Warren Community Fellowship. She sang in the choir, belonged to many bible study groups and she and Jim were among the many planning and promoting Warren Community Fellowship. She delivered meals on wheels and volunteered at the Scappoose Sr. Center. She loved the outdoors, camping, backpacking and fishing. Her other enjoyments were reading, oil painting exercising, playing cards and baking. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. Jean will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her three daughters; Bonnie Mares Ron of Scappoose, Kay Wight Gary of Warren and Victoria Winterowd Keith of Rochester, Washington. Two step-sons; David Hamman Lisa of Wasilla, Alaska and Duane Hamman of White City, OR.; 16 grandchildren and 27 Great-grandchildren and one Great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Preceded in death by Son-Gary Hudson in 2004 and Brother-Jack Spaulding in 1989.
