Jeffrey Lynn McClain age 58 passed away Tuesday February 7, 2017 in his home in Scappoose, Oregon surrounded by loved ones. Jeffrey was born August 14, 1958 in Linden, Tennessee. The son of J.O. and June (Bartholomew) White.
Married first to Chris Shavers. Jeff and Chris had two sons Daniel Aaron, and Jeffrey Adam. They divorced in 1995.
Jeff resided in Decatur County, Tennessee, until 2005. Jeffrey and MaDonna DeLashmit were married in Beacon, Tennessee on November 20, 2005, where they originally met at the age of 12 or 13. They made their home in Scappoose, Oregon.
Jeffrey loved his family and he loved the Lord. He was a popular and gregarious man that never met a stranger. Having fun and making people laugh was how Jeff lived. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting elk, dear, rabbit and especially loved turkey hunting with his brother and nephew. He enjoyed wood working, playing with his Grandchildren, and piddling in his shop. Jeff kept horses for over 30 years, he enjoyed working with them and loved to trail ride with friends. Jeff loved to sing and especially liked to add his own lyrics.
Jeff was preceded in death by his Mother, June (Bartholomew) White.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Patricia MaDonna McClain of Scappoose, Oregon, Father, JO White, and Step Mother Joyce White of Parsons, Tennessee, Brother Gary McClain (Agnes) of Darden Tennessee, Sister Tonia Fisher (Mike), and brother Brian White (Tammy) also of Parsons, Tennessee. Children, Daniel Aaron McClain (Lynn) & Jeffrey Adam McClain both of White Bluff, Tennessee. Step Children Dustin Wilson (Stacy) of Vancouver, Washington, Dione Burchell (Jacen) of Scappoose, Oregon. Grandchildren Lainey & Jace Burchell of Scappoose, Oregon & Peyton Powers of Vancouver, Washington. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Funeral Service on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Scappoose Church of Christ in Scappoose, Oregon.
Burial will take place at Duke Cemetery in Darden, Tennessee.
