Jerold ''Jerry'' Shaw's Obituary
Jerry Shaw was born to Norman and Dorothy Schoonover Shaw on March 7, 1946 in Sacramento, California. He died at the age of 58 in Akron, Ohio while on a business trip.
Immediately after high school, Jerry enlisted in the Navy and served in the Vietnam War.
On April 6th, 1968 he married his sweetheart, Susanne in Sparks, Nevada. Jerry's working carreer was spent as a computer programmer for G.E. Pen Power. In 1989 he semi-retired and moved his family to a nice home in Deer Island, Oregon.
Although, he still travelled alot for work; he enjoyed spending time on his farm, and researching the family geneology. He was very proud of his Scottish heritage.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Susanne, daughter, Wendy, both of Deer Island, son Kelly of Alaska, and step-son Nick Perner of Idaho, brother David Rodgers, and 4 grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and many friends, and especially his Border Collie, Jack.
A private family interment will take place this summer in Oroville, California.
