Jessica Marie Smith's Obituary
Jessica Marie Smith a longtime resident of Scappoose, Oregon, born January 5, 1954 in Niagara Falls, New York died in her home June 22, 2019.
Marie graduated from Tillamook High School, she was also a veteran in the United States Army. Marie had many hats over her lifetime; she worked at Holland Bulb as a bookkeeper, then in the offices of two different companies in the Portland Shipyards. When she lived in Gladstone she had a daughter they moved to Scappoose, Oregon in 1993. She started working at Edward Jones in 2000 where she worked 17 years until she became disabled in August of 2017.
Marie loved fishing, her cats, dogs and her pig named shorty. Most of all she loved her mini horses which she raised from babies. She also loved going to the barn where she met a lot of friends. She loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Lloyd B. Jr., James K., Paul E., George F., Richard H. and a sister Janet K. Brown. Also preceding her was a grandson Dominic Arnold and a great granddaughter Lileigh Hope Arnold.
She is survived by a daughter Victoria Arnold, grandson James Paul Arnold, two brothers Robert H. Smith from Texas and Leroy K. Smith from Alaska, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family; Austin Arnold, Destiny, MacKenzie, McKenna Arnold, Darrin Scholl and Kayla Scholl.
A special thank you to Legacy Hospice for the excellent care given to my mom. Much love to her special friends especially Michael and Sally who brought joy to her life.
