John C. Sebring's Obituary
John C. Sebring was born on December 1, 1942 in Joplin, Missouri to John E. & Christine Blanchard Sebring.
He died at a Portland hospital on December 10, 2008 at the age of 66.
He moved to the Rock Creek area at 6 months old, attended Skyline school and Scappoose Hi.
He married Sharon Murray on 5/14/62 in Vancouver, WA.; they lived in Elgin and LaGrande during the 80's moving to Rainier in 1989 until present.
He worked for Boise in LaGrande for 9 years; NW Marine works for 10 years, Metro Steel '86-'97 and NW Pipe as a crane operator from '98 until retirement in 2004.
His denomination was Christian and he was a member of the N.R.A. John's enjoyments included woodworking and building bird houses. Camping, hunting, fishing with his grandchildren, gardening, a gun enthusiast, dog showing, horse showing and rodeo-early on.
Survivors include: Wife: Sharon Sebring; Children: John R. Sebring, Scott Sebring all of Rainier; Daniel Sebring of Westport, OR.; Brother: Donald Roach of Portland, OR.; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial service to be held in January at Beaver Homes Grange Hall.
