John E. St. Germain's Obituary
John E. St. Germain was born on August 13, 1936 in Silverton, Oregon to Noel & Annetta Chretien St. Germain.
He died at a Portland hospital on August 26, 2009 at the age of 73.
John moved to Scappoose in 1952, attended and graduated from Scappoose High School in 1954, married to Nancy Everaert at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Scappoose on June 18, 1955. Has lived in the area since.
He worked for Kyser Gypsum, a truck driver for L.C. Hall, Mitchell Brothers Trucking for 15 years, owner/operator for Interstate Trucking from 1981 until present.
John was raised in the Catholic denomination and was a marine reservist for 8 years and a member of the Elks Lodge.
His interests included going to the beach and clam digging, hunting, fishing, tinkering with his old cars, and family.
Survivors include: Mother: Annetta St. Germain; Wife: Nancy both of Scapppose; 7 daughters & spouses: Laura Hunsinger Steve; Mary St. Germain both of Scappoose; Judy King Chief of Warren; Eileen Kelly Steve of Mesa, Arizona; Christi Paylor James; Debra McVae Doug both of Scappoose; Robin St. Germain of Ocean Park, WA.; Siblings: Steve St. Germain Pearl of St. Helens; Dave St. Germain Karen of Scappoose; Rose Mary Singhose Jim of Cottage Grove; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
Celebration of Life: Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home
