John J. Rods' Obituary
John J. Rods was born on October 10, 1922 in Brewster, WA. to John & Josephine Bowers Rods.
He died at a Longview, WA. hospital on September 28, 2006 at the age of 83.
He was educated in Washington and Oregon. He was in the service during WWII.
He married Shirley Quick on May 3, 1948 at Warren Baptist Church.
He worked at Boise for 40 years, retiring on October 1, 1986. They lived in the area for 59 years.
He was a member of Warren Baptist Church, active in the Senior Citizen Center and President of the Hi School Band Patrons.
He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, his home and yard, Tomatoe plants and a toy car collection.
Survivors include: Wife Shirley of Columbia City; Daughter: Cheryl Erickson of Federal Way, WA.; Ron & Jodi Rods of Brunswick, GA.; David & Kathy Rods of St. Helens; 3 granddaughters: Mandy Janus, Megan Erickson, Kara Rods; 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral: Thursday, 10/5/06 at 1:00 PM at Warren Baptist Church
Committal service & vault interment: Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery.
