John L. Pooley's Obituary
John A. Pooley was born on January 26, 1936 in Nottingham, England to George & Gladys Stanisforth Pooley.
He died at his home in Columbia City on January 20, 2005 at the age of 68.
He was educated in England-married to Patricia in Nottingham on 3/26/55.
They moved to Canada in '69, to the U.S. in California in 1980, to Salem, OR. in '91 and Scappoose in '96, and just 4 months ago to Columbia City, OR.
He was a salesman for McManns Furniture, retiring in 1996.
He was a varsity coach for the St. Helens Hi Soccer. He also enjoyed golfing and was a golf marshall at St. Helens Golf Course.
Survivors include: Wife: Patricia ''Trish'' Pooley of Columbia City, OR.; Daughter: Chris Wale of Scappoose, OR.; Cousin: Patricia Hayden of Nottingham, England; 3 grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
