I met John around 2013. We worked on a couple software projects together. He always had a very friendly, pleasant demeanor. His passing is definitely a surprise and he will be missed.
I worked with John many years. One of my first software projects at the County was with him. We redid the user interface on one of our web applications that was wallpapered with a really bright, dated green color. I remember him joking that he would be happy to never see that color green again! Naturally, I printed off the color and hung it in his cubicle :D. He was intelligent, talented, great at his job, and was truly a pleasure to work with. While I miss his presence in our meetings and am sad that we won't see him anymore, I am grateful that our life paths crossed. Rest in peace, John.
