John W. Kroeker's Obituary
John Wesley Kroeker was born on October 17, 1969 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Peter and Esther Winsinger Kroeker.
He died at Hopewell House in Portland, Oregon on July 17, 2011 at the age of 41.
He accepted the Lord at the age of five and was a member of Jansen Bible and Newton Bible Churches for many years. John's early years were spent between Kansas and Nebraska.
He graduated from Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska. During college, he worked for Nylus Construction building homes; then he returned home to help out shortly before his father died in 1997 and worked for Mead Lumber.
In 2000, John moved to the Bahamas where he ministered at Windermere High School as a building and grounds keeper. He was good at his work and took pride in doing it well.
John married Joleen Weaver on December 20, 2008 in St. Helens, Oregon at Grace Baptist Church, where they were members. His interests included woodworking, remodeling his home and God's Word. He enjoyed photography, watching sunsets, and going to the beach.
John is survived by his Wife, Joleen, and Son, Jonathan, both of St. Helens, Oregon; Mother, Esther Kroeker of North Newton, Kansas; and Brother, Samuel Kroeker of Omaha, Nebraska.
