Jon Anthony Rethati's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held, 2:00 PM, Friday, April 2nd at Columbia Funeral Home. Jon passed away March 27th, he was 29.
Jon was born October 9, 1980 at Portland, Oregon to John L. and Wendy Lee Alton Rethati. He was the older of two children and the eldest child of his generation within the family. Jon's early years were raised in Portland until the family moved to Scappoose in 1997. He graduated from Scappoose High School in 1999.
Jon loved life and lived it to the fullest. The outdoors was his home away from home. His passion was snowboarding, off roading with friends, dirt bike riding and riding sand quads. He raced and won several trophies over the years. Jon had a lifelong dream to ride his own Harley Davidson with his dad. After school he worked as a journeyman roofer for Snyder Roofing before working for Union Pacific Railroad for the last five years as a Gate Clerk at the Brooklyn Yard in Portland.
Jon is survived by his parents; John & Wendy Rethati of Scappoose, sister; Paula Rethati of Beaverton, grandfather; Burt Alton of Portland, 4 aunts and 7 uncles.
