Josephine Marchena Ham Zemmer passed on March 22, 2015, at the age of 100. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Joseph and Clover (Splain) Ham. She traveled by covered wagon from Colorado to Idaho.
She married Finley Zemmer in 1939.
Josephine loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She has made quilts that have been sent all over the world. Among her other accomplishments, Jo was a published author. Her autobiography, “Three Generations of Resilient Women”, is a 5-star rated book on Amazon.com.
She is survived by her daughters Mildred Jennings of St. Helens, Oregon and Wilda Eberly of Columbia City, Oregon, and five grandchildren; Harold Jennings of St. Helens, Oregon, Shelly Thompson of Vancouver, Washington, Sherry Payne of Albany, Oregon, Ronda Smith of LaCenter, Washington, and Glenda Zemmer of Seattle, Washington. Josephine is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Finley Zemmer her sons Tim and Mark Zemmer and her mother Clover Ham.
