Josette M. Koss' Obituary
Josette M. Koss was born on December 16, 1923 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada to Gaston & Mary Godin Camirand.
She died at her home in Warren on May 26, 2008 at the age of 84.
She was educated in Canada and graduated in 1940. She married Alfred Koss in 1946 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. He preceded her in death in 1987.
They moved to International Falls, MN. Then in 1967 they moved to Vancouver, WA. Then onto Reedsport, OR and finally St. Helens in 1973 until present.
She was a homemaker and very active in St. Frederic Catholic Church. She was a member of the womens group, the administration council and the church bazaar. She was an artist and had a deep devotion to the Lady of Fatima.
Survivors include: Children: Randy Dixon of Warren; Nanette Koss of St. Helens; Laurette McCleskey of Milwaukie, OR.; Pete Koss of St. Helens; Jeannine Phelan of Boring; Mary Fawcett of Warren; Siblings: Mavis Dick, Jean Camirand both of Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada; Jeanette Kruger of War Road, Minnesota; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation 1-5, Wednesday at Columbia Funeral Home:
Recitation of the Rosary: 7 PM Wednesday
Funeral Mass: 2 PM Thursday both at St. Frederic Catholic Church-St. Helens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church womens club.
