Judith “Judy” Mae Vocana

Judith Mae Vocana of Columbia City, Oregon passed away on December 22, 2016 at the age of 76. She was born on February 3, 1940 to Oran and Bertha (Fisher) Ewing in Pittsburg, California.
Judy attended and received her diploma from Girls Polytechnic School in Portland, Oregon.
On August 2, 1957, she married Stephen Vocana they were married for 56 years until his death in 2013.
Judy and Stephen resided in Deer Island for many years while she worked as a CNA and food prep tech for a catering company before starting her job at Riverside Industries where she was employed until her retirement. After she retired in the early 2000s Judy and her husband both found the love of cruises to the Panama Canal, 2 cruises to Alaska, the Bahamas and a cruise around Hawaii. Shortly before Stephen’s death they moved to Columbia City, Oregon.
Judy loved spending time with her friends playing cards and Bunco or even just visiting. One of her favorite pastimes were slot machines and she was born to shop. She also attended Warren Community Fellowship for a short time after Stephen’s death as well as spending many hours volunteering at Top Notch in St. Helens.
Judy is survived by her daughter Linda Lohrke and Barbara Mantel, her two half-brothers Tom and Bob Ewing, her four grandchildren Jason, Kevin, Edward and Kerstin and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Vocana and her brothers Richard and Gene Ewing.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 5, 2016 at 11am at Warren Community Fellowship.
