June and my mom were best friends, before my mom passed, she asked me to visit June often, watch out for her. My weekly visits ended up forging a real friendship with June, we would look through high school yearbooks and discuss those friends and acquaintances we unknowingly shared. While visiting her at rose valley in Scappoose we found that many the the friend she forged while there we ladies that were a big part of my life in school, 4-H camp, Church and one was my babysitter when I was a child. The “weekly check” mom asked me to pay visiting/helping June ended profiting me more than I ever expected. Unfortunately when June was moved to Maryville for memory care after visiting he I realized she no longer new me or mom, it was suggested I don’t continue the visits as it confused her. Respectfully/painfully I heeded that request. God Bless June. May you (Deb, Jackie and Paul and family) find peace knowing She is in the loving arms of God.
