Karen was my mother-in-law for 30 years. She never lacked for projects, usually having several at a time. She frequently had ideas for projects for me. I remember coming home from work one day and the front window was removed from our living room. Karen and my wife had decided to expand the living room onto the front porch. The hard work was done, all I had to do was close in the porch, shore up the ceiling and remove the living room wall, then do the interior finishes.
She was a gifted sculptor and portrait artist. Her gardening skills were impressive. She was one of a kind and will be missed.
