Kathy I. Frigaard's Obituary
Kathy I. Frigaard of Boring, OR. was born in Cooperstown, N. Dakota on September 16, 1953 to Andrew and Alice Schenstad Frigaard.
She died suddenly of unknown causes of October 19, 2004 in the East Bay, California area at the age of 51.
She moved to Oregon with her family in 1964, when she was 11. They lived in the Portland area, and then moved to St. Helens in 1970. She attended school in Portland, and graduated from St. Helens High School in 1971. She married Ronald Maine in 1981. They had two children, Sonja Catrice & Patrick David, and later divorced. While a single mom, she and the children lived in St. Helens for several years, until her marriage to Gerald T. Roach in 1995, when she moved to Boring.
Kathy worked for Langlitz Leathers in Portland for 32 years, as a seamstress and leather cutter, and also was a custom leather designer. Known in her family for her adventurous spirit, her interests included painting, sculpturing, drawing, woodworking, leather work, riding motorcycles and ATV's and fishing. She was a founding member of Gresham Little Theater and a member of First Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Frigaard of St. Helens, her husband, Gerry of Boring, her daughter & son-in-law, Sonja & Ryan Frigaard of Eugene, son, Patrick Maine of Portland, sisters, Judy Johnson of Scappoose, Alice Mae Myers of Binford, N.Dakota, Lori Briscoe of Portland and Carol Shackelford of Warren; brothers, Marvin Frigaard of Medford, Harvey Frigaard of Roy, Utah, and Ron Frigaard of St. Helens, their spouses, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
