Obituary of Kathy Rae Waterman
Private family gathering will be held at a later date. Kathy passed away December 15th at her home; she was 65 years of age.
Kathy Rae was born February 15, 1946 at Portland, Oregon to Dwight W. and Lucille Ione Monroe Cartwright, the oldest of three daughters. Raised in St. Johns, Kathy graduated from Roosevelt High School. In 1980 she married Dean Luis Waterman; he served in the United States Army. They were stationed in Germany and in Ogden, Kansas. In 1986 they finally settled in St. Helens. Dean preceded Kathy in death in 2009. Kathy worked at the Candle Factory in Scappoose. Her joys were reading, knitting, puzzles and especially her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her daughter; Desiree Danson of St. Helens, son: Shane Cartwright of Anchorage , Alaska, grandchildren; Meghan Cartwright, Derik DeWitt and Allason DeWitt, great granddaughter Heaven Cartwright, sisters; Francie Gray of Eagle Creek, Alaska and Martha Pellater of Anchorage, Alaska.
